Inlets are manufactured in chrome plated brass with stainless steel plates (CK) or in plastic (HD). Their main function is to return the water and cleaned and sanitized from the filtration system to the pool. HD54 inlets are fixed grate, HD53 have an ‘eyeball‘ to adjust the direction of the flow, and HD502 has adjustable petal plates to vary the flow. By adjusting the direction of flow, heating and chemical dispersion is made easier.

One of the most important things tonsider when designing a pool is to ensure that water recirculation is uniform and effective. The inlets allow the clean filtered water to be returned to the pool. They should be placed in such a way as to create uniform circulation throughout the pool water, and to avoid creating ‘dead spots‘. In pools equipped with skimmers, the inlets should be installed on the opposite wall or side.
