Heliox UV MP system lamps.
Heliox UV MP (MP = medium pressure) devices are intended for use in public swimming pools. These lamps cover a broad spectrum (polychromatic), covering the entire UV-C region (200 nm - 300 nm), which allows an effective elimination of chloramines (< 0.6 ppm) in the pool water, as well as effective disinfection by inactivation of microorganisms (99.9%), even those resistant to chlorine.

The proposed control architecture for the Heliox UV MP systems has a number of features that enable the highest levels of reliability, energy efficiency and scalability.
The Heliox UV MP systems handle two parameters when setting the applied power: average radiation and flow rate (incorporating a calorimetric flow rate detector). Thus, each model has a nominal radiation to guarantee a dose of 60 mJ/cm². If the flow rate to be treated is lower than the nominal flow rate, the radiation required will also be lower and the system will reduce its power, optimizing power consumption and lamp life. Similarly, if the radiation decreases due to turbidity losses, scaling, lamp emission efficiency, the system will readjust the power to guarantee the dose.
